The disease I will be talking about is called cystic fybrosis.This is a disease that is inherited disease.

CAUSES AND OR SYMPTOMS:
thick, sticky mucus to form in the lungs, pancreas and other organs.

AFFECTS:
In the lungs, this mucus blocks the airways, causing lung damage and making it hard to breathe. In the pancreas, it clogs the pathways leading to the digestive system, interfering with proper digestion.

ANOTHER NAME:
Another name for it is (CF) people with CF have a shorter life span the regular people and should seek help right away they usaually live until their 30's through their 40's

WHAT CAUSES IT:
The recessive gene past down or inherited through a recessive parent.

PLACEMENT OF THE RECESSIVE GENE:
People with cystic fybrosis got it from from a recessive gene because it it not contagious from a dominant gene and it mostly occurs with caucasian people with a recessive gene parent now the gene is found in region q31.2 on the long (q) arm of human chromosome 7

TREATMENTS:
    • treat chest infections and prevent further damage to the lungs
    • improve nutrition by providing supplements containing enzymes to help digestion
